"Dog the Bounty Hunter" has joined the search for Brian Laundrie, who disappeared in the middle of the investigation into the whereabouts of his fiancee, Gabby Petito. He was the last person known to be with her and questions remain unanswered after he returned to his home in North Port, Florida from a cross-country road trip without Petito.

Petito's body was found in a national forest in Teton County, Wyoming, and her death was ruled a homicide. While Laundrie has not been named as a suspect in the case, he is considered a person of interest. A federal arrest warrant was issued for Laundrie for allegedly using a debit card without authorization.

On Saturday (September 25) afternoon, Dog, whose real name is Duane Chapman, visited the home of Laundrie's parents and knocked on their door. He left a few minutes later after nobody answered. Police showed up after Chapman left and were let inside. They left several minutes later.

"Dog and Francie have experienced extreme loss themselves," Chapman's team said in a statement. "Their hearts go out to Gabby's family for what they're going through and want to help bring justice for her death."

He asked anybody who has information about Laundrie's whereabouts to call 1-833-TELL-DOG.
