Boos, Brews, and BBQ — an unlikely trio that as come together in the form of a new TV series, hosted by Shinedown drummer Barry Kerch, BBQ guru Ty Sherrell and "Spear Talk" podcast host John Guarnieri.
Buckle up, because — according to a press release — the series takes "viewers on a cross-country journey to uncover the hidden stories, haunted histories, and iconic BBQ flavors of America’s spookiest cities."
With each episode, viewers will get a taste of different haunted cities across the country, including Memphis and Fort Worth, with plans to visit New Orleans, Los Angeles, Charleston and more, as the trio investigates the paranormal hotspots and BBQ traditions native to that city.
In an exclusive statement to iHeartRadio, Kerch explained how the idea for Boos, Brews, and BBQ came to life, sharing, "As all great ideas begin ... at a bar. John and I were on tour and spitballing about these three interests we have, and how it would be cool to combine them. We started brainstorming names, and if I remember correctly, John said 'Boos Brews and BBQ.' Then we reached out to Ty and started fleshing out the idea."
With so many haunted cities left to visit, Kerch said that, "I don't know that we are at the point yet to pick a favorite, but it's always nice when we are in a familiar place like our hometowns, or places we know well from our travels.
