Leafs' Auston Matthews Accused of Flashing, 'Grabbing his Butt Cheeks'

In an incident that could threaten his chances of becoming the Maple Leafs' next captain, NHL center Auston Matthews has been charged with disorderly conduct after flashing a female security guard.

The charges stem from a May 26th incident in Scottsdale, where Matthews owns a condo. Security guard Fayola Dozithee says she was sitting in her locked car at about 2 a.m. when someone tried to open her door. Alarmed, Dozithee "jumped out of her vehicle to find out who was trying to get in her car -- and noticed it was Auston and his friends," according to a police report. After the woman exchanged words with the group, Matthews "pulled his pants down, bent over and grabbed his butt cheeks," the report reads.

Maple Leafs management, who signed Matthews to a five-year, $58 million contract extension in January, would only say they were "cooperating fully with the relevant authorities."
